Kelechi Amadi is a senior partner at Hans Offia & Associates and heads the Firm’s Intellectual Property, Corporate Governance & Regulatory Compliance, Corporate & Commercial Law and Taxation practice groups. Amadi has over eight years of practice experience handling dispute resolution and corporate matters for clients, at all levels, whether before the Courts, or interfacing on behalf of clients at Regulatory agencies. She is also an astute legal researcher and scholar and provides expert opinions on complex regulatory issues the Firm’s clients are faced with.
As the chairing head of the Firm’s corporate-leaning practice groups, Amadi has represented both local and international clients within Nigeria and around the world.
As an academic scholar and researcher, Amadi has delivered a lecture at the Lakehead University, a public research university in Canada, unknotting complex legal concepts for a class. She has also worked with international research organizations particularly on delivering research material on Nigerian Laws.
Amadi is also extremely passionate about Pro Bono work for the protection of the lives and interests of indigent members of the community she serves. In that regard, she extends legal services free of charge to indigent inmates in Correctional Facilities and further represents the interests of women who are victims of gender-based and domestic violence Amadi has collaborated with Human Rights Organizations both locally and internationally to pursue the protection of women’s and children’s rights. She has represented clients on Petitions to the House of Representatives Committee on Public Petitions, Abuja in respect of the extra-judicial killing of innocent Nigerian citizens by members of the Nigerian Police Force, Ebonyi State Command. She also freely represented clients at the Ebonyi State ENDSARS Judicial Panel of Enquiry after the #ENDSARS protests of 2020 which made international headlines in October, 2020.
